This is one of the best ideas I've seen here on DA. Join in on the fun! :3

~~~~~~~~~~
THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.
STEP ONE
** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.
** Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!
STEP TWO
** Surf this forum ([link]) and browse the lists. Here's the important part:
** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
My Wishlist:
1. I wish that the Holidays weren't such a source for stress and anger, and that people would just be happy and kind to one another.
2. I wish more people knew about Vieo Una, the story my boyfriend and I are still putting together. ~Vieo-Una
3. I wish I had the money to just be put under anesthesia and have all of my teeth problems fixed.
4. I wish I could go to Disney World and Epcot with my friends and family!
5. I wish for gift art. :D I love gift art, whether it's of my own characters, or characters from an Anime/Manga I like (Such as Rurouni Kenshin, or Ghibli movies)
6. I wish for Totoro related anything!
7. I wish I could lose the amount of weight I want to lose already!
8. I wish I could draw backgrounds.
9. I wish I could drive.
10. Surprises are nice. :3
Note me here on DA if you have an answer to one of my wishes. :)
For anyone wondering why I haven't been posting art lately, my computer was still having issues. We took it into Best Buy to have the Geek Squad repair it, and with twenty computers in front of mine, it might take a little while. I also need to figure out what's going on with my all in one printer, since while my computer was going haywire, my printer decided that it wasn't going to scan or copy. Not sure if the problem was related or not.
I promise I'll have work up as soon as I can. I might end up taking pictures of some drawings at some point so I can at least update my gallery.
Toodles and Happy Holidays!
I don't update nearly as much as I should. Something I really need to work at.
Anyhow, I'm a kinda chubby chocoholic, hell bent on ridding the world of asparagus. Not really, they're just made of fail.
Eh, haven't been doing a whole lot. Though I did apply to a few places to see about working. I've got limited hours I can work though, since my parents would have to drive me there. I haven't gotten any calls, but I'm hoping I will eventually. What's going on with you guys?
I could go for spending a weekend out there. Is there anything interesting that's going on around there? I don't really know the area. :p
My computer actually has to get taken in to Best Buy to the Geek Squad guys so they can repair the problem with it. We're pretty sure it's a hardware issue by now, so it should be covered by the two year warranty it's still under. I'm using Mom's laptop in the meantime, but it'll be nice to get my computer back.
Go ahead and shut the door on me. I'll just wait for another to open, and find my way back to you. :butterflytwo:
well, we've got thanksgiving in a few weeks, but I looked around online, and couldn't find anything really interesting. There may be something going on at the university, so I'll ask my grandma about that. when would be best for you? week or weekend? i have rehearsal for a few hours on Sats. until nutcracker is over on the 5th of december.
we'll just have to plan when I can come out to pick you up etc. ^_^ can't wait! and its good to hear that its just a hardware problem. when your out here we can look through my software to see if theres anything you need.
A week or weekend, it doesn't really matter to me since I don't have anything planned to do. :p John's birthday is on the sixteenth, so that's about the only day that I really need to be home or anything. What part are you dancing in the Nutcracker?
Hopefully by the time I visit, my computer will be back from being repaired, but it might not be.
I'm sure we'll find something to do, there's prolly some interesting stores around there. :D
